Britney Spears was in an upbeat mood while serving herself a large cup of coffee-flavored frozen yogurt at Menchie's in Calabasas, Calif. The pop star, who was with two guy friends, originally served herself a different flavor but changed her mind, so she went back to the machine to get her coffee fro-yo fix. Not one to waste anything, Spears passed the first cup to one of her guy pals to enjoy.

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz took separate vacations over the holidays, a sign that may indicate their longterm relationship may be coming to an end. Timberlake spent time at home in Tennessee while Diaz, his girlfriend since 2003, went skiing in Vail, Colorado, with her family.

Sources say Justin reportedly told friends in Memphis on December 23: "Me and Cameron? We're done."

Earlier reports suggest that over the years, while they overcame a nine-year-age difference, the couple struggled from time to time with the issue of long-term commitment.

Over the holidays Justin allegedly hung out with ex-girlfriend Veronica Finn at a nightclub, and told everyone of his split with Cameron.

On the other hand, Justin partied at New York hotspot Barca 18 with Diaz in mid-December and at the time, gossip mags reported that the couple was "affectionate and stayed until 4 a.m."

While Carrie contends Ace will be in the wedding, she’s not sure exactly where he’ll fit into the bridal party.

“He’s my kid,” she says. “It would be like if I was getting married and I had a child. Of course, my child would be in the wedding. Of course, Ace is going to be in the wedding. He’s such a big part of my life.”

Paris Hilton Remains Vague Over Doug Split

The buzz began after Paris was spotted in Las Vegas--minus Doug, and plus Reggie Bush. The two partied hard at Tao nightclub. But we highly doubt any hanky panky was going down since Paris' parents and sister Nicky Hilton were there with her.

But still! Paris and Doug are usually joined at the hip, so why wasn't he a part of the family weekend? While most sites are claiming the split rumor is false after reading Paris' tweet yesterday, we think otherwise.

Here's what Paris wrote: "Can't a girl have a night out in Las Vegas with her sister, without fake stories being posted. That story is a ridiculous lie. 100% FALSE."

So which "story" is Paris Hilton actually talking about? Dozens of stories are posted about the heiress daily, so she may easily have been addressing the Reggie Bush rumor, not the split.

LeonardoLeonardo DiCaprio is in talks to lead Mel Gibson's new Viking epic after the two movie stars met in secret to discuss the ambitious project last year.

Wenn broke the news about the film in January when Gibson revealed he was planning another trip back in time for a movie about 9th Century England - and he was hoping to recreate an ancient dialect for the movie.


He told WENN, "The very first idea I ever had about making a film, and my first thought about being a filmmaker was when I was 16 years old and I wanted to make a Viking movie in old Norse, which I was studying at the time.

"I'm going to give you real men. I want a Viking to scare you... I want to see someone who I've never seen before speaking low guttural German, who scares the living s--t out of me."


Gibson tells the Times, "We're going hammer and tongs on the script right now... There's never been a good Viking film, not that I've seen. I think I have found the right way to get into it, though, but I don't want to say too much. The real problem is making those guys sympathetic. They were monsters."

"The interest was in both of them for a long time and I can see why - the Vikings are so mysterious, and for an actor to get his teeth into something like that could really lead to some interesting things. And it's something the audience hasn't seen in a long time."

The Man Of An Action

Tom Cruise, 47, has launched a seemingly impossible mission – finding a director.

The star of three Mission: Impossible movies is casting around for a director for M:I-4, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Cruise, who recently appeared in Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz, is said to have settled on Brad Bird, the 52-year-old director and writer of The Incredibles in 2004.

Cruise will reprise the role of Ethan Hunt as well as produce the project, with a view to a May 2011 release date.

Cruise and co-producer J.J. Abrams have held talks with film-makers new and old, including Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer and Edgar Wright, who helmed Shaun of the Dead.

Bird, who has never directed an action thriller, seems an odd choice but he is said to be keen on the project. THR reports he is well known for storytelling and staging thrilling action set pieces.
